Robert grew up in Austin then moved to Colorado to serve in Americorps*NCCC. From there he went to Colorado State University and worked for the US Forest Service fighting forest fires every summer for 7 years.

In 2003, He returned to Austin to work in the family printing company Print Depot. In 2004, he started Helping Hand Printing with his wife Ange Avera. Robert graduated from Baylor Law School in 2007 and now is back working in the business along side his wife Ange and their wonderful staff.
